While last year was quite the learning experience for Troy, this year has started out much different. All finishes so far this year have ended in a top 10 with the car in one piece. Troy Sanford Racing had quite the weekend! Beatrice Speedway on Friday night tested our limits. Troy ended up 15th in the A after a set back during the middle of the race. Saturday at Eagle Raceway proved to be a great night of racing for the team! Troy won his first ever heat race leading the entire time! Saturday night at Eagle was not the night Troy had hoped for. Troy finished 5th in the heat race putting in the B feature. While in the B feature Troy spun out causing a caution on the first lap and with Eagle Raceways rules when that happens you have to leave the track. It was unfortunate since the week prior the TSR team had such a great finish but from all of this comes a learning experience. At the end of the day the team is just glad the car is one piece! What a weekend Troy Sanford Racing had! The weekend of July 9th at Eagle Raceway was a rough one. Troy got caught up in a bad wreck in the B which quickly ended our night. After two consecutive weeks of rain-outs at Eagle Raceway, we are ready for some great weather and even better racing! Last weekend heading down to Beatrice on Friday night we had no expectations of what the night would hold, just wanted to put more laps under Troy's belt. Much to our surprise the night went extremely smooth! Troy finished 5th in his heat race and quailified for the 'Dash for Cash', where he finished 5th. Last weekend was great for Troy. He finished 5th in the B Feature, so he missed the transfer to the A by one position. Troy fought really hard in the B and showing tons of improvement in that race. He started 6th row inside and at one point got up to 3rd place and then a caution was out so he had to go back to 5th place.
